Standing with Integrity
There aren’t a lot of people who thrive off of confrontation. You have to get through that awkward moment of talking to the person or confronting them. Then there’s the issue of maybe not having a future relationship with that person. But what is the penalty for not confronting issues that are clearly wrong?

The Cost of Peace
Thursday night during worship at Collision, there was such a peace that it could be felt throughout the sanctuary. We sometimes forget about the peace and rest that the Holy Spirit gives us because we don’t take time to slow down. Our lives are too busy and we’re being pulled in too many directions. Our [...]

The Day That Changed Everything
It’s crazy how vividly I remember the morning of 9/11 even ten years after that day. I woke up and I ran through my normal morning routine. I was excited because my roommate and I were hitting up Best Buy before class started to get some new CD’s that released that morning. While eating breakfast [...]

Filled Up
Last night my 3 year old daughter got down from the table because she had finished her dinner. What I mean to say is, in her mind she had finished dinner. On her plate sat the chicken that I cooked for her. Oddly enough, the fries had disappeared. This is normal when you have a [...]

Not My Will
It’s almost been 3 months since 2 of my squad members and I were sent to California to work on 2 boats in the port of Los Angeles. There’s been a crew of about 15 people out here constantly working 6 days a week. I’ve been working on the sailboat the Divine Wind. It’s a [...]

What’s in a name?
In middle school my Mom found a Tommy Hilfiger polo on sale at TJ Maxx. I was crazy excited because if I wore that shirt, then I’d be on the same level as the preppy guy that went to my middle school. I would sport a brand name that meant I had money, even when [...]
